Tightening Specifications

NOTE:

Replace any bolts that were tightened with an additional turn.

-- Tighten the bolts in steps in the sequence shown:

Step Bolts Tightening Specification/Additional Turn
1. -1 through 10- Install all the way in by hand.
2. -1 through 10- 30 Nm
3. -1 through 10- 60 Nm
4. -1 through 10- Tighten an additional 90°
5. -1 through 10- Tighten an additional 90°
6. -Arrows- 10 Nm
7. -Arrows- Tighten an additional 90°

-- Check the cylinder head at several locations for distortion using a :VAS6075  and a feeler gauge.

Resurfacing cylinder head (face grinding) is only permissible to minimum dimension -a-.
