Fuel Delivery Unit: Installing

NOTE:

Pay attention to the installed position of all the components.

Installation of the fuel delivery unit is performed in the reverse order of removal. Pay attention to the following:

-- Replace the seal if damaged.

-- Install the dry fuel delivery unit seal into the opening in the fuel tank.

-- Coat the inside of the seal with fuel.

-- Install the fuel delivery unit. Be careful not to bend the fuel gauge sensor.

-- Install the suction jet pump intake line and lock it into place. Refer to CONNECTOR COUPLINGS, SEPARATING .

-- Press the locking flange downward against the spring force and move the locking flange into its installed position.

The tab -2- on locking flange must lie between tabs -1 and 3- on the fuel tank.
The -arrow- points in the direction of travel.

-- Tighten the locking ring using the Wrench - Fuel Sending Unit T10202.

-- Disconnect the fuel lines -1 and 2-. Refer to CONNECTOR COUPLINGS, SEPARATING .

-- Connect the connector -arrow-.

-- Pull on the couplings and connectors to make sure they are fastened securely.

The rest of the assembly is performed in the reverse order of removal. Pay attention to the following:
