Control Module for memory seat, removing and installing

NOTE:

The control module for power seat with memory is located beneath the seat.
With malfunctioning control module, the upper frame of seat pan with backrest must be loosened → Front seat with malfunctioning control module or malfunctioning motor for seat fore-aft adjustment, removing .

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Removal

Remove seat → Front power seats with memory, removing and installing .
Mount the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136 on the engine and transmission holder VAS 6095.
Attach the front seat to the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136.
Remove bolts - 2 - (2x).

Turn control module - 1 - around.

Disengage retaining bracket - 4 - and disconnect connector - 5 -.
Press in catches - 3 - (2x) and disconnect connector - 2 -.
Remove control module - 1 -.
Loosen control module from brackets (2x) at nuts (2x) on left and right.

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal. When doing so, note the following:

Tightening torques for bolts - 2 - : 1.5 Nm
