Overview - Crankcase Ventilation

Oil Separator
- On the cylinder head cover
- There are different versions depending on the model. Refer to OIL SEPARATOR . Refer to the Parts Information for the allocation.
- Removing and installing. Refer to OIL SEPARATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, ON CYLINDER HEAD COVER, VERSION 2 .
Bolt
- Tightening Specifications and Sequence. Refer to Fig 5.
Seal
- Replace if damaged
Seal
- Always replace after removing.
Oil Separator
- On cylinder block
- There are different versions depending on the model. Refer to OIL SEPARATOR . Refer to the Parts Information for the allocation.
- Removing and installing. Refer to OIL SEPARATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Bolt
- Tightening specification and sequence. Refer to Fig 3.

-- Tighten the bolts to 9 Nm in the following sequence: -1 to 8-.

-- Tighten the bolts to 9 Nm in the sequence -1 to 9-.

-- Tighten the bolts in the sequence -1 to 6- to 11 Nm.

TIP:

The bolts are self-tapping. Only use original bolts when replacing the cylinder head, since the cylinder head is delivered without a thread for the installing the crankcase ventilation.

It is not permitted to cut the thread with a thread cutter.

-- Tighten the bolts in the sequence -1 to 10- to 11 Nm.
