- Do not rework, only lapping is permitted
- Valve Dimensions. Refer to VALVE DIMENSIONS .
- Valve Guides, Checking. Refer to VALVE GUIDES, CHECKING .
- Cylinder Head
- Overview. Refer to OVERVIEW - CYLINDER HEAD .
- Valve Guide
- Checking. Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester and VALVE GUIDES, CHECKING .
- Valve Stem Seal
- Replacing. Refer to VALVE STEM SEALS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Valve Spring
- Valve Spring Retainer
- Valve Retainers
- Hydraulic Lifter
- With roller rocker lever
- Do not interchange
- Lubricate the contact surface
- Exhaust Camshaft
- Radial clearance: 0.024 to 0.066 mm
- Run-out: maximum 0.04 mm
- Check the radial clearance using Plastigauge® (roller rocker lever removed)
- Removing and installing. Refer to CAMSHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, ENGINE WITH CAMSHAFT ADJUSTMENT .
- Spring
- No replacement part
- Ball
- For sliding bar
- Installing. Refer to SLIDING BAR BALL, INSTALLING .
- Cylinder Head Cover
- With integrated camshaft bearings
- Removing and installing. Refer to CAMSHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, ENGINE WITH CAMSHAFT ADJUSTMENT .
- Clean the sealing surface, reworking is not permitted.
- Remove old sealant residue.
- Only replace together with the cylinder head

- O-ring
- Always replace after removing.
- Lubricate with engine oil
- Cam Adjustment Actuator
- Removing and installing. Refer to CAM ADJUSTMENT ACTUATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Bolt
- 5 Nm
- O-ring
- Always replace after removing.
- Lubricate with engine oil
- Plugs
- Intake Camshaft
- Radial clearance: 0.024 to 0.066 mm
- Run-out: maximum 0.04 mm
- Check the radial clearance using Plastigauge® (roller rocker lever removed)
- Removing and installing. Refer to CAMSHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, ENGINE WITH CAMSHAFT ADJUSTMENT .
- Cap
- Always replace after removing.
- Removing: with the cylinder head cover installed, pierce through one side of the cover with an awl and pry it out
- Installing. Refer to Installing .
- Intake Valve
- Do not rework, only lapping is permitted
- Valve Dimensions. Refer to VALVE DIMENSIONS .
- Valve Guides, Checking. Refer to VALVE GUIDES, CHECKING .
