Lower Timing Chain Cover, Replacing: Removing

-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Unclip the left and right sealing piece -1- using the :80-200 .

-- Position the :10-222A on the upper edges of the left and right web plates, as well as the right longitudinal member as shown.

-- Attach the carabiner hook of the :10-222A/11 to the engine lifting eye and lightly preload the spindle.

-- Remove the engine mount. Refer to ENGINE MOUNT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the ribbed belt tensioner. Refer to RIBBED BELT TENSIONER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the vibration damper. Refer to VIBRATION DAMPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -1 through 3- and then remove the engine support.

NOTE:

To remove the engine support, slightly lift or lower the engine if necessary.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the oil dipstick tube from the timing chain cover.

-- Disconnect the Wastegate Bypass Regulator Valve -N75- from the turbocharger -arrows-.

-- Remove the turbocharger support -1-.

-- Remove the bolts -1 through 15-.

NOTE:

There may be only eight bolts installed, depending on the version.

-- Pry off the lower timing chain cover.
