Catch, Removing and Installing

-- Remove the lock carrier cover.

-- Remove the bolts -1- and then remove the hood catch -2- from the lock carrier -3-.

-- Tighten the bolts to 5 Nm.

1. Nut
   • Tightening specification. Refer to OVERVIEW - HOOD .
2. Catch
   • Removing

     -- Remove the bolts and the hood catch.

   • Installing

     -- Align the hood catch with the markings on the hood -arrows- and then tighten the bolts.

3. Hood

1. Hood
2. Hood Hinge
   • Removing 

     -- Before removing a hood hinge, support the hood or secure it against falling.

     -- Remove the gas-filled strut. Refer to HOOD GAS-FILLED STRUT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

     -- Remove the bolts -4- and nuts -5-.

   • Installing 

     -- Align with the markings -arrows- in reverse order.

3. Gas-Filled Strut
   • Attach the gas-filled strut tube on the lid side
   • Removing. Refer to HOOD GAS-FILLED STRUT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
4. Cover
   • Clipped into the hinge on the side
5. Fender Flange
6. Bolt
   • 21 Nm
7. Nut
   • 21 Nm
