CHECK FOR DTC
1. Check for DTCs.
  NOTE:
  If a malfunction occurs, do not remove/install the vehicle auxiliary battery before checking for DTCs.

NG → GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART. Refer to: DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2013 - ]

OK: Go to next step
CHECK STEERING LOCK SYSTEM
1. Check that the steering unlocks.
  OK
  
  The steering unlocks.
  
  HINT:
  
  Check that the communication between the steering lock ECU (steering lock actuator assembly) and certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) is normal.

OK: Go to next step
REGISTRATION
1. Using other unregistered electrical key transmitter sub-assemblies, perform the additional registration procedure.
  OK
  
  Additional registration can be completed.

OK → REPLACE ELECTRICAL KEY TRANSMITTER SUB-ASSEMBLY
REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY)
1. Temporarily replace the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) with a new one and register the electrical key transmitter sub-assemblies to the new ECU.
  HINT:
  - For replacement. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] .
  - For registration. Refer to REGISTRATION [08/2013 - ] .
