Removal [08/2013 - ]

HINT: 

  1. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR 
    1. Push the upper part of the mirror surface and tilt it.
    2. Apply protective tape to the areas shown in the illustration.

      *1 Protective Tape
      *2 Moulding Remover
    3. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws at the lower part of the outer rear view mirror.
    4. Push the lower part of the mirror surface and tilt it.
    5. Apply protective tape to the areas shown in the illustration.

      *1 Protective Tape
      *2 Moulding Remover
    6. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws at the upper part of the outer rear view mirror.
    7. w/o Blind Spot Monitor System:
      1. Disengage the 2 clamps.

      2. Disconnect the 3 connectors and remove the outer mirror.
    8. w/ Blind Spot Monitor System:
      1. Disengage the 3 clamps.

      2. Disconnect the 3 connectors and remove the outer mirror.
      3. Release the tabs of the blind spot monitor indicator connector to disconnect the connector and remove the outer mirror.
        NOTE:
        • Do not bend the tabs excessively to prevent them from being damaged.
        • If the tabs are damaged, replace the outer mirror with a new one.
