Data List / Active Test [08/2013 - ]

  1. DATA LIST 
    NOTE:

    In the table below, the values listed under "Normal Condition" are reference values. Do not depend solely on these reference values when deciding whether a part is faulty or not.

    HINT: 

    Using the Techstream to read the Data List allows the values or states of switches, sensors, actuators and other items to be read without removing any parts. This non-intrusive inspection can be very useful because intermittent conditions or signals may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Reading the Data List information early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time.

    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / (desired system) / Data List /
    5. According to the display on the Techstream, read the "Data List".
      BACK DOOR (W/ POWER TRUNK LID SYSTEM)

      Half Latch SW Luggage door closer assembly half-latch switch signal / ON or OFF ON: Half-latch switch of luggage door closer assembly on (Luggage compartment door open)
      OFF: Half-latch switch of luggage door closer assembly off (Luggage compartment door closed)
      • See "Luggage Door Closer Operation Timing Chart". Refer to SYSTEM DESCRIPTION [08/2013 - ] .
      • When this item is abnormal, there is a problem with the half-latch switch of the luggage door closer assembly or related parts.
      Pawl Position Switch Luggage door closer assembly pawl switch signal / ON or OFF ON: Pawl switch of luggage door closer assembly on
      OFF: Pawl switch of luggage door closer assembly off (Luggage compartment door closed)
      • See "Luggage Door Closer Operation Timing Chart". Refer to SYSTEM DESCRIPTION [08/2013 - ] .
      • When this item is abnormal, there is a problem with the pawl switch of the luggage door closer assembly or related parts.
      IG SW Power switch on (IG) / ON or OFF ON: Power switch on (IG)
      OFF: Power switch off      		 "OFF" is also displayed for this item when the power switch is on (ACC).

      OFF: Luggage compartment door lock cylinder assembly off (Luggage compartment door closed)      		 When this item is abnormal, there is a problem with the luggage compartment door lock cylinder switch assembly or related parts.
      Trunk/BDoor Open SW Luggage door opening switch assembly signal / ON or OFF ON: Luggage door opening switch assembly on
      OFF: Luggage door opening switch assembly off      		 -
      Trunk Main SW Luggage door opening cancel switch assembly signal / ON or OFF ON: Luggage door opening cancel switch assembly on
      OFF: Luggage door opening cancel switch assembly off      		 -
      Luggage courtesy SW Luggage door closer assembly courtesy switch signal / ON or OFF ON: Luggage door closer assembly courtesy switch on
      OFF: Luggage door closer assembly courtesy switch off      		 For vehicles with power trunk lid system, this item is not related to luggage compartment door condition.
      SMART ACCESS

      Tr/B-Door Unlock SW Luggage electrical key switch / ON or OFF ON: Luggage electrical key switch pushed
      OFF: Luggage electrical key switch not pushed      		 When this item is abnormal, there is a problem with the luggage electrical key switch of the luggage door closer assembly*1, luggage compartment door lock assembly*2 or related parts.
      • *1: w/ Power Trunk Lid System
      • *2: w/o Power Trunk Lid System
  2. ACTIVE TEST 

    HINT: 

    Using the Techstream to perform the Active Tests allows relays, VSVs and actuators and other items to be operated without removing any parts. This non-intrusive functional inspection can be very useful because intermittent operation may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Performing Active Tests early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time. Data List information can be displayed while performing Active Tests.

    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / (desired system) / Active Test /
    5. According to the display on the Techstream, perform the "Active Test".
