Meter Illumination is Always Dark [08/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 
    1. Check if CAN communication DTCs are output. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2013 - ] .

    A: Go to next step 

  2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (ILLUMINATION RATE INFO) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
    5. Check the values by referring to the table below.

  3. REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) 
    1. Replace the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) with a new or known good one. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] .

      OK

      The operation of the combination meter assembly returns to normal.

    NG → See step   4 

    OK → END 

  4. REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] 
  5. CHECK CUSTOMIZE PARAMETER SETTING (SENSITIVITY). Refer to  CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS [08/2013 - ] 
  6. GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2013 - ]
