Brake Warning Light does not Come ON [08/2013 - ]: Procedure

- CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Check if CAN communication system DTCs are output. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2013 - ]

- Check if CAN communication system DTCs are output. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2013 - ]

- CHECK BRAKE WARNING LIGHT / RED (MALFUNCTION)
- Disconnect the A24 skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) connector.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Check that the brake warning light / red (malfunction) comes on.
OK
The brake warning light / red (malfunction) comes on.

If troubleshooting has been carried out according to Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step before replacing the part. Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [08/2013 - ] .

- INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
- Turn the power switch off.
- Reconnect the A24 skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) connector.
- Perform the Active Test of the combination meter assembly (meter CPU) using the Techstream. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [08/2013 - ] .
- Check the combination meter assembly.
OK
The brake warning light / red (malfunction) turns on or off in accordance with Techstream operation.
