Removal [08/2013 - ]

  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]

  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
    1. Disengage the 10 claws and remove the front door scuff plate LH.

  5. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH 
    1. Remove the clip.

    2. Disengage the claw and clip, and remove the cowl side trim board LH.
  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH 
    1. Disengage the 3 claws.

    2. Disengage the guide and remove the front door opening trim cover LH.
  7. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. Pull the upper part of the garnish toward the inside of the cabin and disengage the garnish from the base of the 2 clips.

      *1 Front Pillar Garnish Clip

      HINT: 

      Make the front pillar garnish LH hang down from the front pillar garnish clip.

    2. While pushing the tabs on the front pillar garnish clip in the direction indicated by the arrow (A) shown in the illustration, disengage the front pillar garnish clip.

    3. Pull the garnish in the direction indicated by the arrow (B) shown in the illustration to disengage the 2 guides and remove the front pillar garnish LH.
    4. Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly.

      *1 Adhesive Tape
      *2 Protective Cover
      *3 Curtain Shield Airbag Assembly
      1. Cover the airbag with a piece of cloth or nylon and secure the edges of the cover with tape as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:

        Cover the curtain shield airbag with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish LH is removed.

  8. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
    1. Disengage the 8 claws and remove the rear door scuff plate LH.

  9. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH LH 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and 2 guides.

    2. Disengage the 5 clips and remove the center pillar lower garnish LH.
  10. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH LH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the clip.
    3. Pass the floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH through the center pillar upper garnish LH and remove the center pillar upper garnish LH.
  11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  12. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  14. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  15. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  16. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  17. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  18. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH 
    1. Disengage the 5 claws and remove the rear seat side garnish LH.

  19. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Disengage the 4 clips.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the roof side inner garnish assembly LH.
  20. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  21. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  22. REMOVE LOWER SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]

  23. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] 

  24. REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR STAY HOLDER COVER  . Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] - Step 1
  25. REMOVE PROTECTOR  . Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] - Step 1
  26. REMOVE RAIN SENSOR COVER (w/o Lane Departure Alert System) 

    w/ Rain Sensor: Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] - Step 2

  27. REMOVE LANE DEPARTURE WARNING CAMERA COVER (w/ Lane Departure Alert System)  . Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] - Step 1
  28. REMOVE ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] - Step 1
  29. REMOVE SPOT LIGHT ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] - Step 1
  30. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for the RH side.

    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 assist grip covers.

      *1 Protective Tape
      NOTE:

      Do not forcibly pry the assist grip covers to prevent them from being deformed.

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Disengage the 2 clips and remove the assist grip sub-assembly.

    3. Remove the 2 clips from the vehicle body.
  31. REMOVE REAR ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 assist grip covers.

      *1 Protective Tape
      NOTE:

      Do not forcibly pry the assist grip covers to prevent them from being deformed.

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Disengage the 2 clips and remove the rear assist grip assembly LH.

    3. Remove the 2 clips from the vehicle body.
  32. REMOVE REAR ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  33. REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER (for LH Side) 
    1. Using a molding remover, disengage the 4 claws and remove the visor bracket cover.

  34. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and visor assembly LH.

  35. REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER (for RH Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  36. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  37. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for the other visor holder.

    1. Turn the visor holder approximately 45° and pull it out as shown in the illustration.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the visor holder.
  38. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector from the inner rear view mirror assembly.
    2. Disconnect the connector from the humidity sensor.
    3. w/ Rain Sensor:
      1. Disconnect the connector from the rain sensor.
    4. w/ Lane Departure Alert System:
      1. Disconnect the connector from the lane departure warning camera.
    5. Disconnect the connector from the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly.

      *A w/o Telephone Antenna *B w/ Telephone Antenna
      *1 Clamp *2 Fastener
      *3 Guide - -
      *a Front Pillar LH *b Front Pillar RH
      *c Rear Pillar RH *d Sliding Roof Drive Gear Sub-assembly
    6. Disengage the 3 clamps and disconnect the 3 connectors from the front pillar LH.
    7. Disengage the 2 clamps from the front pillar RH.
    8. w/o Telephone Antenna:
      1. Disengage the clamp and disconnect the connector from the rear pillar RH.
    9. w/ Telephone Antenna:
      1. Disengage the clamp and disconnect the 2 connectors from the rear pillar RH.
    10. Disengage the 12 claws and 11 fasteners.
    11. Slide the roof headlining assembly to disengage the 3 clips and guide as shown in the illustration.

      HINT: 

      Leave the 3 clips in the vehicle.

    12. Remove the roof headlining assembly from the vehicle through the rear door as shown in the illustration.

      NOTE:

      Do not damage the roof headlining assembly or body interior.

    13. Remove the 3 clips from the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.

  39. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
    1. Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH.
    2. Remove the residual weatherstrip sealant from the body of the vehicle using cleaner.
      NOTE:

      Remove the sealant completely. Any residual sealant may transfer to other areas of the vehicle when removing/installing the interior parts.

  40. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  41. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
    1. Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH.
    2. Remove the residual weatherstrip sealant from the body of the vehicle using cleaner.
      NOTE:

      Remove the sealant completely. Any residual sealant may transfer to other areas of the vehicle when removing/installing the interior parts.

  42. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
