Reassembly [08/2013 - ]

- INSTALL NO. 1 REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT
- Install the No. 1 rear bumper reinforcement with the 6 nuts.

Torque: 35 N*m (357 kgf*cm, 26 ft.*lbf)
- Install the No. 1 rear bumper reinforcement with the 6 nuts.
- INSTALL REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER
- Engage the 2 guides to install the rear bumper energy absorber.
- INSTALL NO. 1 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH
- Engage the 2 guides and claw.
- Install the screw.
- Install the screw.
- Install the No. 1 rear bumper side support LH with the 2 grommets.
- INSTALL NO. 1 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
- INSTALL NO. 2 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH
- Engage the 5 claws.
- Engage the 4 clips to install the No. 2 rear bumper side support LH as shown in the illustration.
- INSTALL NO. 2 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
- INSTALL LOWER REAR BUMPER RETAINER
- Engage the 10 claws.
- Install the lower rear bumper retainer with the 2 screws.
- INSTALL NO. 2 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)
HINT:
When installing the ultrasonic sensor clip, heat the rear bumper assembly using a heat light.
HEATING TEMPERATUREItem Temperature Rear Bumper Assembly 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F) NOTE:Do not heat the front bumper assembly excessively.
- Clean the rear bumper assembly surface.
- Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper assembly surface.
- Remove the double-sided tape from the rear bumper assembly.
- Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
- Install the ultrasonic sensor clip.
- Coat the installation surface on the rear bumper assembly with primer as shown in the illustration.TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION
*a Line - Remove the release paper from a new ultrasonic sensor clip.
HINT:
After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.
- Install a new ultrasonic sensor clip.TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION
*a Line NOTE:- Make sure that the ultrasonic sensor clip are installed in the line as shown in the illustration.
- Allow the primer to dry for 10 minutes or more.
- If 24 hours have elapsed since primer was applied, reapply primer
- Lightly press the surface of each ultrasonic sensor clip to ensure a close fit.
- Coat the installation surface on the rear bumper assembly with primer as shown in the illustration.
- Engage the clamp to install the No. 2 luggage room wire.
- Clean the rear bumper assembly surface.
- INSTALL NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)
for Corner Sensor: Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2013 - ] - Step 3
- INSTALL NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)
for Back Sensor: Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2013 - ] - Step 4
- INSTALL ULTRASONIC SENSOR WITH CLIP (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) . Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2013 - ] - Step 5
- INSTALL REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH
- Engage the claw.
- Install the reflex reflector assembly LH with the screw.
- INSTALL REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
- INSTALL REAR BUMPER PAD RH
- Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
- Install a new rear bumper pad RH.
HINT:
Stick the new rear bumper pad RH on the line marked on the rear bumper assembly.
- INSTALL REAR BUMPER PAD LH
- Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
- Install a new rear bumper pad LH.
HINT:
Stick the new rear bumper pad LH on the line marked on the rear bumper assembly.
