Power Switch Illumination Circuit [08/2013 - ]: Procedure

- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Smart Access / Active Test.
- Check that the illumination operates.SMART ACCESS
Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note Power/Engine SW Light Power switch light OFF/ON When performing this Active Test, make sure the following condition is met:
The power switch illumination is off (15 seconds or more have elapsed since it turned from on to off) and the power switch is on (ACC) or on (IG), or the hybrid control system is running.OK
Power switch illumination comes on.

- INSPECT POWER SWITCH
- Remove the power switch. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] .
- Inspect the power switch. Refer to INSPECTION [08/2013 - ]

Power switch illumination comes on.
NG → See step 4
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SWITCH - CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY))
- Disconnect the H57 and H58 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.
- Disconnect the H44 power switch connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition H44-9 (SWIL) - H58-6 (SWIL) Always Below 1 Ω H44-6 (AGND) - H57-6 (AGND) Always Below 1 Ω H44-9 (SWIL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher H44-6 (AGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → See step 6
- REPLACE POWER SWITCH. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]
- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [08/2013 - ]
- REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY). Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]
