Removal [08/2013 - ]

NOTE:
- Do not replace the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly with the auxiliary battery connected and the power switch on (IG).
- Do not rotate the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly without the steering wheel with the auxiliary battery connected and the power switch on (IG).
- Ensure that the steering wheel is installed and aligned straight when inspecting the steering sensor.
- ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
- REMOVE HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY
Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]
- REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the connectors from the spiral cable sub-assembly.
- w/ Steering Heater:
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the steering wheel assembly set nut.

- Using SST, remove the steering wheel assembly.

- REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY See step 2
- REMOVE CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH . Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] - Step 2
- REMOVE CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH WIRE
- Remove the cruise control switch wire.
- REMOVE STEERING SHAKE DAMPER
- Remove the 2 screws and steering shake damper from the steering wheel sub-assembly.
- REMOVE LOWER STEERING WHEEL BOSS COVER
- w/ Steering Heater:
- Disengage the 4 claws to remove the lower steering wheel boss cover from the steering wheel sub-assembly.
