- S1 CHECK FOR BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTCS)
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the BCM self-test.
Are any BCM Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTCs) other than B14E5:01, B14E5:08, B14E5:1C, B14E5:49, B14E5:55, B14E5:61, B14E7:01, B14E7:08, B14E7:1C, B14E7:49, B14E7:55 or B14E7:61 present?
Yes DIAGNOSE the other BCM Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTCs) first. REFER to: Body Control Module (BCM) . No GO to S2 - S2 CHECK THE ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING MODULE
- Remove the suspect adaptive front lighting module.
- Substitute the known good adaptive front lighting module from the opposite headlamp.
- Using the diagnostic scan tool, execute the BCM Local Interconnect Network (LIN) New Module Initialization routine. Follow the diagnostic scan tool directions. CLEAR the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and REPEAT the self-test. TEST the system for normal operation.
Did BCM DTC B14E5:01, B14E5:08, B14E5:1C, B14E5:49, B14E5:55, B14E5:61, B14E7:01, B14E7:08, B14E7:1C, B14E7:49, B14E7:55 or B14E7:61 return?
Yes REMOVE the known good adaptive front lighting module. INSTALL a new headlamp assembly. REFER to: Headlamp Assembly . No REMOVE the known good adaptive front lighting module. INSTALL a new adaptive front lighting module. REFER to: Adaptive Front Lighting Module .
