Headrest Cover And Cushion, Removing And Installing: Removing
WARNING:
- Follow all Safety Precautions when working with pyrotechnic components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
- Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This can be done by touching the door striker, for example.
-- Remove the head restraints:
- HEADREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, HEADREST WITH SLIDING LOCKING MECHANISM .
- HEADREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, POWER HEADREST .
Side Locks, Opening
-- Open the side locks -arrows- on the cover -1-.
-- Slide the Trim Removal Wedge3409 or a flat-head screwdriver in the direction of -arrow A- between the cover lock -1-.
-- Bend the lower U-channel -3- in the direction of -arrow B-.
-- Pull the upper side of the cover with the flat channel -2- out of the U-channel.
Main Lock, Opening
-- Slide the Trim Removal Wedge3409 or a flat-head screwdriver between the cover lock.
-- Bend the lower U-channel -1- in the direction of -arrow A-.
-- Pull the upper side of the cover with the flat channel -2- out of the U-channel -1-.
NOTE:
The cover must be completely open to remove the padding.
-- Remove cushion -1- from cover -2-.
