Overview - Rear Brakes
NOTE:
Only install complete repair kit.
- Self-Locking Bolt
- 12 Nm
- Electromechanical Parking Brake Actuator
- Seal
- Always replace.
- Self-Locking Bolt
- 35 Nm
- Always replace.
- When loosening and tightening, counter-hold at guide pin
- Spacer
- Brake Hose
- To brake caliper: 20 Nm
- Do not disconnect brake line when changing brake pads
- Make sure that retaining tabs are seated correctly in bracket.
- Install hose without twisting
- Brake Caliper Housing
- Do not remove the brake hose when changing the brake pads.
- Brake Caliper, Servicing
- It is possible to install brake carrier with brake caliper
- Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
- Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REPLACING
- Brake Carrier with Guide Pins and Cap
- Supplied as an assembled replacement part with sufficient grease on guide pins.
- Install the repair kit if the caps or guide pins are damaged. Use supplied grease packet to lubricate guide pins.
- It is possible to install brake carrier with brake caliper
- Removing and installing. Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Brake Pads
- Always replace on both axles.
- Refer to BRAKE PADS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
- Check the brake pad thickness.
- It is possible to install brake carrier with brake caliperNOTE:
The brake pads must be seated between both securing tabs on the brake pad retaining plate to provide the air gap between the brake rotor and brake pad.

- Always replace when pads are replacedNOTE:

- Wheel Bolts
- Install the wheels. Refer to WHEEL, CHANGING AND MOUNTING .
- Bolt
- 5 Nm
- Brake Rotor
- Wear limit. Refer to BRAKE PR NUMBERS .
- Always replace on both axles.
- Refer to BRAKE ROTOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, BRAKE PADS IN PLACE
- Refer to BRAKE ROTOR, REPLACING, BRAKE PADS REMOVED
- Hex Head Bolts
- 10 Nm
- Brake Shield
- Bolt
- 100 Nm + 90°
- Replace
- Bolts
- 100 Nm + 90°
- Replace
NOTE:
Close the bleed screw and tighten to 13 Nm.
