Oil Pressure Switch -F1-, Checking

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

Procedure 

-- Remove oil pressure switch. Refer to Oil Pressure Switch -F1- .

-- Install the oil pressure switch in the V.A.G 1342.

-- Install the V.A.G 1342 in the hole for the oil pressure switch in the oil filter bracket.

-- Connect the V.A.G 1527B to the battery positive and an oil pressure switch connection with lines from the V.A.G 1594C.

-- Connect the second oil pressure switch connection to ground.

-- If the LED lights up with the engine at standstill, replace oil pressure switch.

-- Start the engine.

NOTE:

Watch the oil pressure gauge and LED when starting the engine because the oil pressure switch switching point may be exceeded when starting.

-- If the LED does not light up, replace oil pressure switch.

-- Install oil pressure switch. Refer to Oil Pressure Switch -F1- .
