Crankshaft Shaft Seal, Belt Pulley Side, Replacing

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Procedure

-- Toothed belt, removing. Refer to TOOTHED BELT .

-- Remove the toothed belt crankshaft sprocket bolt using the 3415.

-- Remove the bolt -1- and then remove the toothed belt sprocket crankshaft -2- and the diamond disc -3-.

-- Install the toothed belt crankshaft sprocket bolt by hand all the way into the crankshaft for guiding the seal remover.

-- Unscrew inner part of the 3203 nine turns (approximately 20 mm) from outer portion and secure with knurled-head bolt.

-- Lubricate the seal remover threaded head, position it, and then install it into the shaft seal as far as possible using strong force.

-- Loosen the knurled screw and turn the inner portion against the crankshaft until the seal is pulled out.

-- Remove the toothed belt crankshaft sprocket bolt.

-- Secure the seal remover in a vise at the flat spots and remove the seal using pliers.

-- Clean the shaft seal running and sealing surfaces.

-- Remove oil residue on crankshaft pins using a clean cloth.

-- Position guide sleeve T10053/1 on crankshaft pin.

-- Slide the shaft seal over the guide sleeve onto the crankshaft pins.

-- Install the seal and toothed belt crankshaft sprocket bolt and pressure sleeve from the T10053 flush.

-- Install the crankshaft toothed belt sprocket. Refer to Fig 7.

-- Install toothed belt (adjust timing), refer to: INSTALLING (ADJUSTING VALVE TIMING) .
