Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor

Removing 

-- Briefly open the coolant reservoir cap to reduce the residual pressure in the coolant system.

-- Remove the engine cover -arrows-.

-- Disconnect the connector -1- from the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor -G62-.

NOTE:

Lay a cloth below to catch escaping coolant.

Ignore -2-.

-- Remove the retaining clip and the engine coolant temperature sensor.

Installing 

Installation is done is reverse order, observe the following:

NOTE:

Replace O-ring.

To prevent coolant loss, immediately insert new engine coolant temperature sensor in support.

-- Check the coolant level COOLING SYSTEM, DRAINING AND FILLING .
