Fastener Tightening Specifications

Crankshaft Toothed Belt Sprocket - 90 + 90°
Damper Roller - 25
Engine Support - 45
Exhaust Manifold Stud Bolt - 20
Housing - 10
Intake Manifold Stud Bolt - 10
Lower Toothed Belt Guard - 8
Phase Sensor - 10
Rear Toothed Belt Guard2 - 10
Sealing Flange - 35
Semi-Automatic Tensioning Roller, Nut - 25
Transport Strap - 25
Upper Toothed Belt Guard - 10
Valve Housing - 4
  • 1 Always replace
  • 2 Insert with locking fluid

Cylinder Head Cover Tightening Sequence 

-- Install bolts -1 to 14- and tighten by hand.

-- Tighten the bolts -1 to 14- diagonally to 10 Nm.

Loosening the Cylinder Head 

-- Loosen cylinder head bolts in sequence shown and remove.

Cylinder Head Tightening Sequence 

-- Tighten cylinder head bolts in sequence -1 to 10- as follows.

-- 1. Tighten to 40 Nm using a torque wrench.

-- 2. Tighten further 90° using a rigid wrench.

-- 3. Tighten further 90° using a rigid wrench.

Guide Frame Tightening Sequence

-- Replace bolts

1. Hand-tighten bolts in several stages in sequence -1 through 6-.

2. Tighten the bolts in sequence -1 through 6- to 8 Nm using a torque wrench.

3. Give 90° (1 /4 turn) additional turn in -1 through 6- sequence using rigid wrench.
