Data Bus On Board Diagnostic Interface -J533-

Removing

-- If the control module was replaced, select the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding" or "Guided Functions" using the Vehicle diagnostic tester.

-- Select the function or path:

Vehicle brand
	Engine codes
		19 Diagnose interface for data bus
			J533 replacing the diagnosis interface for the data bus (Repair Group 90)

-- Follow further instructions on display of Vehicle diagnostic tester.

-- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

-- Remove driver side instrument panel cover. Refer to Storage Compartments and Covers in Removal and Installation .

-- Remove bolt -arrows- and remove air duct -1-.

-- Release retaining clips -1 and 6- by pressing them together -arrows-.

-- Disengage retaining tab -2- on bracket -3-.

-- Disconnect electrical connector -4- and remove Data Bus On Board Diagnostic Interface -J533- -item 5-.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Install air duct. Refer to DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION or [For engine(s) BPY, CETA, CCTA, CDMA, CEPB] Removal and Installation .

-- Install driver side instrument panel cover. Refer to Storage Compartments and Covers in Removal and Installation .
