Charge Air Cooler, Removing And Installing: Removing

NOTE:

Follow all the rules of cleanliness, refer to CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

-- Remove the engine cover, refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

WARNING:

Fire hazards and risk of damage for a faulty engine cover.

  • The engine cover must be always be installed before the hood is closed.
  • The engine may neither be started nor driven without an engine cover.
NOTE:

Use a cloth to catch any leaking coolant.

-- Loosen the hose clamps -1-, then clamp off the coolant hoses with the Hose Clamp - up to 25 mm 3094 and remove them.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and then remove the charge air cooler from the charge air cooler housing.
