-- Lift the tension springs -arrow- on the gas-filled strut -1- with a small screwdriver and then pull them off the ball pins -2-.

-- Remove the side trim panel.

-- Lift the spring -arrows- with a small screwdriver and remove the gas-filled strut from the ball pin.
