Vacuum Pump, Turbo FSI 4-Cylinder: Installing

NOTE:

Replace the seal.

Make sure the seal is correctly installed.

-- Position the vacuum pump tappet so it engages in the groove on the camshaft when vacuum pump is installed.

-- Insert the vacuum pump.

-- Make sure the seal is seated correctly.

-- Install and tighten all the bolts -arrows- on the vacuum pump sealing flange, refer to -Item 1-  1.

-- Push the new hose clamps over the vacuum hose.

-- Push the vacuum hose over the connection to the vacuum pump.

-- Compress the hose clamp on the vacuum pump connections with pliers.

CAUTION:

Do not damage the vacuum hose. Replace the vacuum hose if damaged.

-- Connect the wires to the high pressure pump and to the vacuum pump.

-- Connect the ignition coil connectors -arrow-.

-- Install the ignition coil strip.

-- Install the fuel high pressure pump, refer to the appropriate service information .

-- Install the engine cover.
