Steering Angle Sensor -G85-: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

-- Install the airbag unit and steering wheel, refer to OVERVIEW - STEERING WHEEL .

-- Calibrate the steering angle sensor

Use the vehicle diagnostic tester VAS 5051B or VAS 5052 for this.

-- On the display, select:

Chassis
Brake system (Repair group 01;45)
001 - OBD-capable systems
003- Brake electronics ABS/ESP

-- Select desired function on display.

ABS Control Module -J104-, ASR and ESP functions
Steering angle sensor calibration, refer to vehicle diagnostic tester VAS 5051 B or VAS 5052.

-- Then perform the ESP driving and system test.
