Rear Flange Shaft Seal On The Transmission: Installing

Lightly coat the shaft seal on the outer circumference with oil and then install it. Do not bend the seal.

-- Fill the space between the sealing and dust lip half way with sealing grease G 052 128 A1.

Install the flange shaft.

The flange shaft ball bearing is installed.
When installing, the 30 - 100 presses on the inner race of the ball bearing.

-- Tighten the vibration damper down on the center differential housing, if equipped. Tightening specification DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION .

-- Mount the flange shaft seal -arrow-.
