Transmission Shaft Seals Overview

The shaft seals -A and B- can only be replaced after the transmission has been removed. Refer to Removal and Installation .
The shaft seals -C, D and E- can be replaced with the transmission already installed.
NOTE:
The bearing pre-load for the tapered roller bearing must be adjusted when replacing the final drive cover - 2-. Refer to FINAL DRIVE COVER .

- Replace the shaft seal when replacing the transmission output shaft with splines -D-

- Without vibration damper;
- Replace the shaft seal when replacing the transmission output shaft with splines -D-

- Replace after removing
