Overview - Power Steering Pump, without Dynamic Steering
NOTE:
Replace seals.
Do not reuse fluid you have drained.
Only use Hydraulic Fluid.
- Bracket
- Sleeve
- Drive the sleeve back slightly to install the power steering pump.
- Bolt
- 20 Nm
- Bolt
- 9 Nm
- Pressure LineCAUTION:
- Insert the pressure line completely when installing.
- Seal
- Always replace if removed
- Suction Hose
- The "P" marking on the suction hose -arrow- must align with the formed seam -arrow- on the power steering pump.
- Clamp
- Tension using Hose Clip Pliers VAG1275A, refer to Figure.
- Always replace if removed
- Power Steering Pump
- Allocation, refer to parts.
- Fill with Hydraulic Fluid before installing
- Delivery pressure, checking, refer to POWER STEERING PUMP, CHECKING DELIVERY PRESSURE .
- Removing and installing, refer to REMOVING .
- Bleed the steering, refer to STEERING, BLEEDING AFTER REPLACING .
- Check hydraulic fluid level, refer to POWER STEERING FLUID LEVEL, CHECKING .
- Steering System, checking for leaks, refer to STEERING, CHECKING FOR LEAKS .
