Knock Sensor, Removing And Installing: Removing

WARNING:
  • Fuel system is under high pressure! Before opening high pressure components of the fuel injection system, pressure must be relieved to residual pressure, refer to FUEL SYSTEM SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
  • Then wrap a clean cloth around the connection and relieve residual pressure by carefully loosening the connection.
  • Always follow the instructions when disconnecting the battery, refer to BATTERY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the intake manifold upper section, refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD UPPER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove each intake manifold section with the fuel rail INTAKE MANIFOLD LOWER SECTION WITH FUEL RAIL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

NOTE:

Remove fuel injector 2 to reach the bolt for the Knock Sensor 1 -G61- -4-.

Remove fuel injector 5 to reach the bolt for the Knock Sensor 2 -G66- -4-.

-- Remove the screw on both knock sensors.
