Overview - Coolant Pump/Thermostat

- For the A5 from MY 2012, the A4 from MY 2013 with vacuum control together with Cylinder Head Coolant Valve -N489- -14-
- Removing and installing. Refer to COOLANT PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Coolant Thermostat
- Removing and installing. Refer to COOLANT THERMOSTAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Checking. Refer to COOLANT THERMOSTAT, CHECKING .
  NOTE:
  When removing and installing the coolant thermostat, make sure that the thermostat needle is installed correctly (conical end is inserted in the coolant thermostat wax thermostatic element). If necessary, push the thermostat needle all the way into the wax thermostatic element.
