Brake Caliper With Front Brake Carrier, FN-3: Removing

Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Torque Wrench 40-200Nm VAG 1332
- Reversible Ratchet VAG 1332/1
-- Raise the vehicle.
-- Remove the wheels.
-- Remove the brake hose from the bracket.
-- Disconnect the brake wear indicator on the left brake caliper.
-- Remove the bolts -5- on the brake carrier.
-- Remove the brake carrier with brake pads and the brake caliper.
NOTE:
Do not let the brake caliper with the brake carrier hang from the brake hose. Secure it to the body with suitable cable ties or wire. Do not support the weight with the brake hose.
WARNING:
Do not press the brake pedal when the caliper is removed.
