Selector Lever Cable: Removing

-- Press the button on the parking brake to activate it.

-- Move the selector lever into D.

-- Pry the selector lever boot frame -A- out of the center console -arrows- using the 3409.

-- Insert the T40031 through the opening -arrow- in the selector mechanism and loosen the bolt on the selector lever cable one turn.

-- Remove the left front muffler. Refer to [For Engine(S) CAUA] Exhaust System, Emission Controls or to [For engine(s) CAEB] Exhaust System, Emission Controls or to [For engine(s) CALA] Exhaust System, Emission Controls .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the driveshaft heat shield -1-.

-- Remove the ball socket -1- on the selector lever cable from the selector shaft lever using the 80 - 200.

-- Remove the clip -2- and remove the selector lever cable from the transmission.

-- Remove the four lock washers -1-.

-- Remove the noise insulation -2- and slide it forward.

-- Remove the circlip -1- from the selector lever cable.
