Vacuum Pump, FSI V6: Installing

NOTE:

Replace the seal.

Make sure the seal is correctly installed.

-- Position the vacuum pump tappet so it engages in the groove on the camshaft when vacuum pump is installed.

-- Insert the vacuum pump.

-- Make sure the seal is seated correctly.

-- Install and tighten all the screws on the vacuum pump sealing flange, refer to BRAKE BOOSTER VACUUM PUMP -Item 1- Bolt.

-- Push the new hose clamps over the vacuum hose.

-- Push the vacuum hose over the connection to the vacuum pump.

-- Compress the hose clamp on the vacuum pump connections with pliers.

-- Carefully install the engine covers into the retaining bolts one after the other.
