Component Location Overview - Seals

The Shaft Seals -A- and -B- Can Only be Replaced with the Transmission Removed. Refer to TRANSMISSION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
The Shaft Seals -C-, -D- and -E- can be Replaced with the Transmission Already Installed.
NOTE:
The bearing pre-load for the tapered roller bearing must be adjusted when replacing the final drive cover. Refer to FINAL DRIVE COVER, REPLACING -item 2-.
- Shaft Seal
- For the input shaft
- Replacing. Refer to INPUT SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING .
- Shaft Seal
- For the left flange shaft
- Replacing. Refer to LEFT SEAL, REPLACING .
- Shaft Seal
- For the right flange shaft
- Replacing. Refer to RIGHT SEAL, REPLACING .
- Shaft Seal
- For the rear flange shaft or transmission output shaft with splines
- Refer to REAR FLANGE SHAFT SEAL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
- Refer to TRANSMISSION OUTPUT SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING, TRANSMISSION OUTPUT SHAFT WITH SPLINES AND WITHOUT VIBRATION DAMPER
- Refer to TRANSMISSION OUTPUT SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING, TRANSMISSION OUTPUT SHAFT WITH SPLINES WITH VIBRATION DAMPER
- Shaft Seal
- For the selector shaft
- Replacing. Refer to SELECTOR SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING .
- Right Flange Shaft
- Removing and installing. Refer to RIGHT SEAL, REPLACING .
- Final Drive Cover
- Replacing. Refer to FINAL DRIVE COVER, REPLACING .
- O-Ring
- On the final drive cover
- Replacing. Refer to FINAL DRIVE COVER, REPLACING .
- Differential
- Transmission
- Transmission Output Shaft With Splines
- With vibration damper; allocate correct components .
- Replace the shaft seal when replacing the transmission output shaft with splines -D-
- Transmission Output Shaft with Splines
- Without vibration damper; allocate correct components .
- Replace the shaft seal when replacing the transmission output shaft with splines -D-
- Dust Ring
- Replace after removing
- Rear Flange Shaft
- Removing and installing. Refer to REAR FLANGE SHAFT SEAL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Left Flange Shaft
- Removing and installing. Refer to LEFT SEAL, REPLACING .
- Clutch Module
- Removing and installing. Refer to CLUTCH MODULE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING . .
