Hydraulic Oil Cooler, Removing And Installing, 8-Cylinder FSI, With Dynamic Steering: Installing

Installation is the reverse of removal, with special attention to the following:

-- The markings -2- on the hose line must point upward in the >>12 o'clock<< position.

CAUTION:

When attaching the hose lines -1-, counter-hold on the pipe lines -4-.

-- Top off Hydraulic Oil.

-- Clean any oiled places.

-- Bleed the steering. Refer to STEERING, BLEEDING AFTER REPLACING .

-- Check power steering fluid level. Refer to POWER STEERING FLUID LEVEL, CHECKING .

-- Check all open line connections for leaks. Refer to STEERING, CHECKING FOR LEAKS .

-- Install the front lock carrier cover. Refer to OVERVIEW - LOCK CARRIER .

NOTE:

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps appropriate to the model.
