Overview - Front Brake Caliper, Ceramic Brakes 1LW

1 - Brake Caliper Bolts
NOTE:
these bolts are not loosened to remove the brake caliper and replace the brake pads.
4 - Brake Caliper
- When doing work, do not allow to hang from brake hose, rather suspend it from the body using bundling wire
- Through "Brake Pads, Removing and Installing", "Brake Caliper, Removing and Installing" and "Brake Piston, Removing and installing" ; do not perform any repairs to the brake caliper.
- Install hose so it is not twisted
10 - Ribbed Bolt
- Tightening specification: 196 Nm.
- If using again, clean the ribs
11 - Brake Carrier
- Bolt to wheel bearing housing
12 - Brake Piston
WARNING:
The brake pistons have different diameters. When re-installing, make sure that the respective brake piston is inserted in the correct hole in the brake caliper. The ceramic inserts on the brake pistons serve as heat insulators and must not be removed from the pistons. If the ceramic inserts are damaged, the brake pistons must be replaced for safety reasons.
14 - Brake Line Connection to Brake Line
- Tightening specification: 14 Nm.
- Brake hose must not be twisted.
15 - Brake Line
- Install in the brake caliper housing
- Screwed together with brake hose, held against the hex nut of the brake hose.
- Hose must be installed free of twists
- Make sure that lugs are properly seated in grooves in bracket.
16 - Brake Line Bracket
- Bolt to brake caliper housing
- Hook in brake line
17 - Brake Line in Brake Caliper
- 16 Nm

NOTE:

Close the bleed screws and tighten to 15 Nm.
