Oil level, checking: Requirements: Notes

- Engine oil temperature at least 60 °C.
- Vehicle on a flat surface.
- Wait a few minutes after switching off engine to allow oil to flow back into oil pan.
- Pull out dipstick, wipe off with a clean cloth and insert it again as far as it will go.
- Pull out dipstick again and read oil level.
