Radiator And Coolant Fan Overview

WARNING:

Danger of personal injury due to the coolant fan turning on by itself.

  • Disconnect the connectors before working near the fan shroud.

Radiator, Front Charge Air Cooling Circuit Radiator, Fan Shroud and Radiator Fan - Version 1

  1. Bolt
    • 4.5 Nm
  2. Fan Shroud
  3. Coolant Fan -V7-
  4. Coolant Hose
    • Lift the retaining clamp to remove
    • Connect to the radiator, refer to Fig 4
  5. O-ring
    • Replace
  6. Rubber Buffer
  7. Radiator Bracket
  8. Coolant Hose
    • Lift the retaining clamp to remove
    • Connect to the radiator, refer to Fig 4
  9. O-ring
    • Replace
  10. O-ring
    • Replace
  11. Coolant Hose
    • Lift the retaining clamp to remove
    • Connect to the radiator, refer to Fig 4
  12. Coolant Hose
    • Lift the retaining clamp to remove
    • Connect to the radiator, refer to Fig 4
  13. O-ring
    • Replace
  14. Retaining Pin
    • Disengage and remove using screwdriver
  15. Rubber Bushing
    • For radiator
  16. Radiator
  17. Coolant Hose
  18. Bolt
    • 4.5 Nm

    • For radiator
  22. Bolt

  3. Fan Shroud
  4. Bolt
    • 3.5 Nm
  5. Fan Wheel
    • The bolt must lock into the hole.
  6. Bolt
    • 5 Nm
  7. Fan Wheel
    • The bolt must lock into the hole.
  8. Bolt
    • 5 Nm
  9. Bolt
    • 3.5 Nm

-- Remove the old O-ring -2- in the coolant hose -3-.

-- Coat the new O-ring with coolant and install it in the coolant hose.

-- Press the coolant hose onto the connection -1- until it engages audibly.

-- Press the coolant hose on again and pull to make sure the connection is engaged correctly.
