Selector Shaft Seal: Removing

-- Select 1st gear.

-- Remove the rear noise insulation by loosening the fasteners -2- and -3-

-- Remove the nut -1-.

NOTE:

Ignore -2-.

CAUTION:

Danger of causing damage to the gearshift shaft inside the transmission.

Do not pry off the transmission shift lever -1- using a pry bar or hit it with a hammer.
The only tool that is allowed to be used to pull the transmission shift lever off is the T40160.

-- Mount the T40160 and remove the gearshift lever.

-- Pry out the shaft seal using the T20143/1.

Check the selector shaft for damage.
