4. Check Locking Button In The Selector Lever Handle

Make sure locking button moves easily.

-- Check the selector lever handle for correct installation if the specified values are not reached SELECTOR LEVER HANDLE, THROUGH MY 2011 WITHOUT RS5 .

-- Make sure the selector lever is not bent.

Function test:

The locking button on the selector lever handle must be pressed for the following shifts. If it is not pressed, the selector lever cannot be shifted into the specified position.

If the specified values are not obtained:

-- Make sure the selector lever handle is installed correctly. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER HANDLE, THROUGH MY 2011 WITHOUT RS5 .

-- Check the connectors on the selector mechanism.

-- Perform Guided Fault Finding  using the vehicle diagnostic tester and check the shift lock solenoid --.

-- Adjust the selector lever cable. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, ADJUSTING .
