Function
- In the cold-running phase, the engine control module activates the secondary air injection (AIR) pump via the secondary air injection (AIR) relay. Air reaches the secondary air injection combination valves.
- The secondary air injection solenoid valve is activated in parallel and this allows the vacuum to reach the secondary air injection combination valves. The respective secondary air injection combination valve thereby opens the path for secondary air to the exhaust channels of the cylinder head.
