Exhaust Pipes/Mufflers, Disconnecting: Procedure

-- Separate the exhaust pipes at the separating points -arrow- using a Chain Pipe Cutter:VAS6254  .

-- When installing, position clamping sleeves -arrows- centrally on separation point.

-- Install the clamping sleeves so that the bolt ends do not project over lower edge of the clamping sleeves. The clamping sleeve must not touch other components, even at extreme movements of the exhaust system.

-- Install the exhaust system without tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
