Special Tools And Workshop Equipment Required

Socket and Jointed Extension - 12mm:T40220

-- Remove the engine compartment cover. Refer to ENGINE COMPARTMENT COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the Oxygen Sensor after Three Way Catalytic Converter -G130-. Refer to Oxygen Sensor after Three Way Catalytic Converter -G130-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the nut -2- accessible from above using the Socket and Jointed Extension - 12mm:T40220 .

NOTE:

To provide a better illustration, component location is shown from behind with engine removed.

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION .

-- Remove the right front muffler -B-.

-- Remove the front driveshaft. Refer to DRIVESHAFT [For transmission(s) 0C8] .

-- Remove the catalytic converter support.

-- Remove nuts -1 and 3- (accessible from the bottom) from front exhaust pipe to exhaust manifold connection.

-- Remove the catalytic converter.
