Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" mode for fault finding.

A camera on the interior rearview mirror detects lane marker lines. If the vehicle approaches a known marker line, the driver is notified that the vehicle is leaving the lane unintentionally because the steering starts to vibrate.

The system is designed for driving on freeways and highways so it only works at speeds of approximately 65 km/h and above. The system is ready for use when the lane assist detects a lane marker line on at least one side of the vehicle. This is indicated by a green indicator lamp in the instrument cluster. If the turn signal is activated before driving over a marker line, the warning is not given because the system assumes this is an intentional lane change.

NOTE:

Switching the system off in situations that require increased driver attention is recommended. These include:

- A very sporty driving style.

- Poor weather conditions.

- Poor road conditions or road surfaces.

The system may not work temporarily if the conditions are poor, such as streets covered with mud or snow, or if the traffic lane is too narrow or if there numerous markings on the street, for example when driving through a road construction site, The instrument cluster will tell the customer if the system is on or off.

Situations in which the Lane Assist Is Not Working

When the lane assist cannot clearly recognize the lane marker lines When markings at a construction site are covered with snow, dirt, water or by on-coming light or if the camera lens is covered.
When no lane marker line is recognized even though the outside conditions are clear.
When there are 2 or more markings on the lane (for example, in construction sites).
When driving slower than 60 km/h.
When the lane marker line radius is too small
When the turn signals or the emergency flasher are being used.
When the ESP is off.

System Settings in the Instrument Cluster

Use menu item >>Settings/ Car Assistant/ Lane Assist<< in the instrument cluster to pre-set the lane assist.

Set the time of the warning: early, middle and late.

Set the vibration strength: weak, medium, strong.
