Left Timing Chain Cover, Removing And Installing: Removing

Engine/transmission assembly removed and placed on the Scissor Lift Table:VAS6131B .

-- Remove the left exhaust manifold with catalytic converter. Refer to EXHAUST MANIFOLD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the Throttle Valve Control Module 2 -J544-. Refer to THROTTLE VALVE CONTROL MODULE AND 2 -J338- / -J544-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the vacuum hose -5-.

-- Disconnect the connector -4-.

-- Remove the bolts -1- and remove Secondary Air Injection (AIR) combination valve.

NOTE:

Ignore items -2 and 3-.

-- Remove the bolts -1- and nuts -2- from the heat shield.

-- Remove The Bolt -Arrow- From The Bracket For The Connectors.

-- Remove The Bolts And Threaded Pin In The Following Sequence: -8 To 1-.

-- Remove The Bracket -Arrow A- For The Connectors.

-- Push The Bracket -Arrow B- For The Wiring Harness To The Side.

-- Carefully Remove The Left Cover For The Timing Chain From The Bond.
