Overview - Telephone, Through 10 / 27 / 2008

The Telephone System Consists Of The Cell Phone Pre-Installation.

The Telephone Transceiver -R36- is integrated in the MMI infotainment system via the CAN / MOST Bus. It also has a Bluetooth Antenna -R152-.

The Telephone Baseplate -R126- is installed in the center console. The operation is performed via the Multimedia System Control Head -E380- (MOST), the Radio -- (CAN) or via the Cellular Telephone -R54-.

The microphones for the Microphone Unit In Front Roof Module -R164- are integrated in the Front Interior Lamp -W1-. One microphone is connected (Telephone Microphone -R38-) with the Telephone Transceiver -R36-.

Fault finding is performed via "Guided Fault Finding  " on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

Notes on Bluetooth technology

A standardized radio connection system is used to transmit data between Telephone Transceiver -R36- and Telephone Handset -R37- / Cellular Telephone -R54- - Bluetooth technology.

An additional transmitter / receiver unit is installed in the Telephone Transceiver -R36-. A separate Bluetooth Antenna -R152- connects the Telephone Transceiver -R36- and Telephone Baseplate -R126- / Cellular Telephone -R54- so that the Telephone Handset -R37- / Cellular Telephone -R54- can be operated wearilessly.

The Range Of The Radio Connection Is Approximately 10 m.
