Radio -R-, Removing And Installing, MMI, From 11 / 03 / 2008: Removing

The Infotainment Rack Must First Be Removed.

If A Digital Sound System Control Module -J525- Is Installed, Remove It With Its Bracket.

-- Open the left storage compartment in the luggage compartment

-- Release and disconnect the connectors from the Digital Sound System Control Module -J525-.

-- Insert the Fiber-Optic Repair Set - Connector Protective Caps:VAS6223 / 9 -1- onto the MOST Bus connector -2-.

-- Remove the nuts -1- and bolts -3- from the bracket -2- and lift the bracket with the Digital Sound System Control Module -J525- into the luggage compartment.

-- Remove the die nut -1-, -2- and -4- on the infotainment rack -3-.

-- Move the infotainment rack -3- into the luggage compartment. Disconnect the connectors.

-- Unlock and disconnect the connectors on the Radio - R-.

-- Insert the Fiber-Optic Repair Set - Connector Protective Caps:VAS6223 / 9 -1- onto the MOST Bus connector -2-.

-- Press the left and right tabs -arrows- on the Radio -R- and remove the Radio -R- -arrow- from the Infotainment rack.
